well i done been back from travails for about a week, and have finally dragged my internets hiney to post some highlight pix:
drank some beer at oktoberfest. mmm... beer as big as your head...
observed the
burger king "angry whopper" ad compaign. what makes german whoppers angry has yet to be determined.
ate some
pig.
saw some beermaids on trailers...
ate some OX.
drank some
more beer as big as my head...
saw the art of schmuck
"please defend yourself from refrigerator attack by throwing spears"
pet a kitty
btw "
katzenjammer" in german means "hangover," but literally means "cats howling."
saw the terminator sword!!!
more cowbell!
it would have been a sad trip without at least one 'verboten' sign.
visited castle wolfenstein...
this must be the haus they keep the rats in...
gas stations: the perfect place to purchase jagermeister.
and, this st. bernard perfectly expresses my physical state at the end of the trip. the fact that he lives at
a brewery might provide you with further insight.
*"my big trip" in german. seriously

I do get around.
You can take J$ outta B'more, but I guess B'more is all co-dependent and has to be wherever J$ is, hence the rathaus.
Have you slimmed down, J$, or are those beers are just so freaking big that they make you look like a wee lad?
awesome. the combo of Castle Wolf and that BK just made my day.
I must get my German-descended arsch over there sometime soon.
anghang: you're an international bright young thing.
re: my own wee-ness (?? lol!) i am not quite so wee or coiffed as my avatar now, but i was a bit down weightwise before the trip, only to literally gain at least 10 lbs while there.
platy-p: ja.
I hope you listened to some Heino while you were there.
lordy, thankfully no.
radio bayern was mostly playing 50's, 60's and 70's american pop. it was like someone took vintage a.m. radio and threw it in a blender.
Good trip with good guys. Enjoyed every minute.
Schön. Now I'm thirsty....Ich will ein bier zu trinken bitte.
jahaha... wuunderbar!
next time order "hax'n mit sauerkraut" or a "schnitzel". :D
