zombies on a plane

don't let the crappy cover art fool ya, this straight-to-video movie (flight of the living dead) viewed this weekend is pound for pwnd more clever and more entertaining than snakes on a plane ever was.

there's no samuel l. jackson, but the Black Guy in this case is a more-buff tiger woods clone. digital effects are snappy and the low budgetedness of it makes it more fun, not a chore to peep.
dunno if it's on netflix, but if it is, it's highly recommended cheese food.

I dunno. Zombie movies seem to conveniently fall into three categories. There are the good zombie flicks...

The George Romero quadrilogy (XLNT)
Shaun of the Dead (fave movie of all time)
28 Days/Weeks Later (I know, not zombies but they fall in the category anyway)
Night of the Living Dead (1990 remake of the original, better than people give it credit for, though somewhat poorly acted)
Dawn of the Dead (remake of Romero's original, surprisingly not bad)
Resident Evil (the first movie only)
Evil Dead films (heheheh)

...a few movie-released crappy zombie flicks...

Res Evil: Apocalypse (Jesucristo, I wish I could get those 90 minutes of my life back; didn't even bother with the latest one)
Silent Hill (again, technically not a zombie film, but I love the games and this piece of filth just made me mad)

...and a few crappy direct-to-DVD ones...

Undead (not that bad but not a film I would watch again, from Australia)
Dead Meat (same, from Ireland; the lead actress is from Spain)
Night of the Living Dead 30th Anniversary Edition (the original movie, but with extra scenes commissioned by NOTLD writer John Russo and shoehorned into the movie in not-altogether appropriate areas. Icky. how could they do that to such a beautiful film as NOTLD?)

Something about all the ads just screams for inclusion in that last category. I'm scared of Flight of the Living Dead, but only in an MST3K kind of way.
